One of Sollux's powers as Mage of Doom (okay, his only power) is the ability to hear the voices of the soon-to-be-dead. He can't control it, he can't really recognize the voices, and basically it exists to make his life horrible. Want him to hear your character? Let me know!

Minato is nearly the same situation as Tadashi-- he's dead at home and the second he's ported out, he'll be dead again. He's pretty sanguine about it, though, so if that would change the voice at all, I'm inclined to say it wouldn't be distressed or panicked, haha.

....man now I'm sitting here considering the metaphysics of someone who is dead at home but alive here. WHAT DO THEY COUNT AS.

UHHHHHHH well at least in Minato's case he's a lot more likely to ping as 'dead' because 1. he had Death sealed in him for like 10 years and also 2. his death is super duper fated and he can't avoid it. The universe wants him dead.

haha yeah he's far more 'temporarily alive' than 'temporarily dead'. Sollux can't actually head dead people, that's his BFF's gig (even after she died........)
